Complaint Procedure

W.I.S.E. have a complaint procedure in place, which can be accessed at the centre. If you are not happy with the service, you should speak to a member staff or the coordinator in order to discuss your dissatisfaction. If you are still not happy, there is a complaint form available to you and we would encourage you to obtain this form for consideration by the management committee.

We gather and keep statistics about our services to ensure standards are being met and to plan for future service provision - you may be asked to provide information to assist us in this. When using information about you, we will respect your confidentiality and your legal rights under the Data Protection Act

W.I.S.E. will not tolerate any form of verbal or physical abuse either to or from the client/service user, relative/s, carer/s, and our staff/volunteers
Transportation

Once you have been assessed for use of the centre, we will assist you with transport upon request, by helping you to apply for the use of Dial a Ride services. Daily booking to the centre is the responsibility of the client or the service user.

There is a charge for attending the day centre for clients not referred by Brent Council. Once you decide to attend, we will be able to work out how much you will have to pay.

There is a charge for meals payable by cash.

How much does it cost

Due to the current austerity measures, the local authority is currently only funding service users who meet their eligibility criteria levels of critical or substantial. There is no funding provided to support those older people who are active and self-caring. Therefore, those who are active but still benefit from attending a centre such as W.I.S.E. will have to be charged a fee.
